Low Level Alchemy (known as low alch, low alching) is a spell that can turn most items into coins. The amount of coins given is 40% of the items specialty shop sale price - equalling that of a General Stores buying prices. This spell gives roughly 2/3rds of the coins that would be received if that same item was converting using High Level Alchemy - which gives 60% of the specialty shops sale price.
Low Level Alchemy is unlocked at 21 Magic and gives 31 experience. It requires 1 Nature rune and 3 Fire runes to cast. It may also be cast for free using any level of the Explorer's ring.
When a Fire staff is used, both Low Level Alchemy and High Level Alchemy require just one Nature rune - making the cost the same. Due to this, casting Low Level Alchemy becomes pointless once High Level Alchemy is unlocked. In addition, Low Level Alchemy takes twice as long to cast, and rewards significantly less experience than High Level Alchemy - making it a poor choice for Magic training.
